Italy Digital Maps Added to Geospatial Database
Thursday, May 28th, 2009
Digital maps for Italy are commercially available as part of Intermap’s NEXTMap Europe program. Uniformly accurate 3D digital elevation models and high-resolution orthorectified radar images are now available for Italy’s 301,318 square kilometers of varying terrain for the first time. Italy joins Germany, Great Britain, Luxembourg, and most recently France as complete geographies benefiting from Intermap’s elevation models and images. Intermap now offers clients more than 1.5 million square kilometers of European data, representing 62% of the NEXTMap Europe initiative that already includes the above mentioned full country datasets and portions of Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Spain, Switzerland, and The Netherlands.
Over the coming months, the Company will continue adding entire country datasets to the NEXTMap Europe library until the completion of its NEXTMap Europe program. Data is currently available through the Company’s direct sales team, online via www.TerrainOnDemand.com, or through Intermap’s worldwide partner network.
