Intermap has helped geospatial professionals to facilitate more cost-efficient decision making, while enabling solutions for numerous commercial, government, military, and consumer applications through the purchase of high-quality 3D digital elevation models and geometric images. We’ve also set new industry standards by remapping all of Western Europe and the contiguous U.S. and Hawaii – building unprecedented national databases, called NEXTMap, consisting of highly accurate and seamless map data that is available immediately. 

The NEXTMap data library contains more than 12 million km² of high-resolution elevation data and images to meet the demanding needs of a wide range of geospatial applications. Now that the NEXTMap data collection and processing phase is complete, our attention is focused on enabling commercial applications in such markets as wireless telecommunications, energy exploration and transmission, water resource management, insurance risk assessment, consumer electronics, automotive energy management and advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), and more.

Our NEXTMap TerrainOnDemand data store includes:

• digital surface models (DSMs) that contain cultural features such as vegetation, buildings, and roads
  
• digital terrain models (DTMs) with all cultural features digitally removed
  
• orthorectified radar images (ORIs) that accentuate topographic features
  
• elevation shaded images (ESIs) providing realistic displays of topographic information.
  

We have also created value-added products such as contours and other high-resolution geospatial products as part of the program – all available via multiple delivery options, with flexible pricing and licensing.
