DENVER — (February 24, 2009) Intermap Technologies announced today a partnership with PCI Geomatics, a world leading developer of hardware/software systems for geo-imaging solutions, to offer the Company's uniformly accurate digital elevation models, orthorectified radar images, contour line maps, and optimized triangulated irregular network (TIN) models worldwide.

PCI Geomatics' flagship software Geomatica® has been enhanced, via a drop down option within the software, to streamline the acquisition and ingestion of Intermap's NEXTMap® dataset by GIS and geospatial professionals. PCI Geomatics' software and solutions enable users to process and analyze remote sensed data, create map and mapping products, and perform simple to highly advanced spatial analysis.

"PCI Geomatics is committed to helping our customers solve real-world, complex problems and is pleased to join forces with Intermap to have data so readily available for effective decision making,” said Trevor Taylor, director of business development at PCI Geomatics.  “Intermap's high-quality and affordable data will allow users to arrive at more accurate solutions with significant savings in both time and money.”

Commercial market applications for PCI Geomatics include environmental management, sustainable agriculture, defense and intelligence, data processing, and more. Intermap's high-resolution 3D digital elevation models, collected as part of its NEXTMap countrywide mapping program, effectively enable these types of applications worldwide.

“Customers worldwide will gain great value through our relationship with PCI Geomatics,” stated Tony Brown, Intermap's vice president of data products. "This relationship will benefit PCI Geomatics' customers by enabling the easy access and download of superior digital terrain and surface models, orthorectified radar imagery, and contours for the U.S. and Western Europe.”

The recent release of Geomatica version 10.2 includes the option to “Get Data” from Intermap or to download directly at http://pcigeomatics.terrainondemand.com.
