Denver, Colorado (December 8, 2006): Intermap Technologies Inc. (IMP:TSX) announced today that it has received two new orders for its archived NEXTMap Indonesia terrain elevation and image data totaling approximately US $820,000. The data for this region was collected, processed and placed in the archive in 2003.
"These sales are to organizations that will use the NEXTMap Indonesia dataset for development planning, environmental management and disaster mitigation planning for the region," commented Garth Lawrence, Intermap's senior vice president, business operations. "We are excited to see this valuable data used in a variety of applications that will benefit the citizens of the region which is expected to lead to further sales."
Sales momentum has also been building for sales of California data from NEXTMap USA. The state of California is the first major economy state to be added to the NEXTMap USA database.
In 2005, Intermap has sold data from its NEXTMap archive of several different countries, including England, Wales, Scotland, the USA, and Indonesia. In 2006 Intermap plans to add data from Germany, Italy, Northern Ireland, and updates for Britain and the USA, to the NEXTMap database.
