INTERMAP TECHNOLOGIES HIRES NEW VICE PRESIDENT OF MARKETING TO SUPPORT COMPANY GROWTH

DENVER, Colo. (April 3, 2006): Intermap Technologies Corp. (IMP:TSX), a geospatial leader remapping entire countries and building highly accurate digital elevation datasets, has hired Kevin Thomas as vice president of marketing.

Mr. Thomas brings over 19 years of marketing and sales operations experience from high-growth companies in the telecommunications and information technology services industry to Intermap. Previously, Mr. Thomas served as a marketing consultant developing marketing plans, research, segmentation and go-to-market strategies for numerous clients throughout the U.S. Prior to consulting, he worked at ManagedStorage International/Incentra Solutions, MFS Communications, and Centex Telemanagement building and managing marketing and sales operations functions. Additionally, as an original member of Level 3 Communications’ marketing team, he built and managed the company’s North American marketing communications initiatives.

As VP of marketing, Mr. Thomas will develop and manage the corporation’s market research, corporate positioning and communications strategies. He will also provide the market plan and support for sales in Intermap’s traditional markets. Communications with the investment community will continue through Intermap’s present relationships with E-vestor Communications Inc. and Genesis Select Corporation.

Mr. Thomas, a graduate of the University of Nevada, Reno, with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis on marketing, resides in Colorado.
