DENVER (October 14, 2008) Intermap Technologies a leading worldwide 3D digital mapping company today announced that high resolution digital elevation models for the entire state of Oklahoma are commercially available. The Company has fully processed Oklahoma as part of its extraordinary NEXTMap® USA countrywide 3D digital mapping program. The company-funded initiative to collect and deliver approximately 8 million km2 of data across the contiguous United States and Hawaii will continue to offer county and statewide data as it is processed throughout 2008, with final completion scheduled for the end of 2009.

“Never before has a commercial enterprise attempted to collect and process uniformly accurate 3D elevation data for an entire country of this size,” said Brian Bullock, Intermap's president and CEO. “The size and geographic diversity of the U.S. makes it all the more challenging. Our highly reliable data has already enabled a variety of geospatial applications, such as route selection, cell tower placement, wind turbine site selection, resource management, and flood modeling, to name just a few. In fact, any application that relies on high-quality and consistent elevation data is an ideal candidate for our fit-to-purpose elevation models and imagery.”

The NEXTMap USA program will generate a national dataset of unprecedented accuracy and detail that includes precise 3D digital elevation models, orthorectified radar images, contours, 3D road centerline geometries (also known as road vectors), and other high-resolution geospatial products.

The ever growing geospatial market will benefit from this reliable foundational layer in the areas of geographic information systems (GIS), environmental management, carbon emission reduction, fuel efficiency improvements, engineering planning, transportation safety, recreational GPS, risk management for flood and windstorm damage, wireless network planning, wind energy, 3D visualization, online virtual tours, topographic maps, and computer games.

The Company will continue processing and editing the collected NEXTMap USA data to produce commercially available datasets over the coming months. Additionally, the Company has fully completed its collection of NEXTMap Europe. Great Britain and Germany are currently available for purchase. France will be available in November, Italy by the end of 2008, and the remainder of Western Europe will be fully processed by the end of March 2009. NEXTMap data is available directly from Intermap or through selected partners worldwide.
