6 Feb, 2018

DENVER – February 6, 2018 (TSX: IMP) (ITMSF:BB) – Intermap Technologies Corporation (“Intermap” or the “Company”) announced today that it has been awarded $1.8m in government task orders to provide foundation geointelligence.

In addition to wide-area multi-frequency radar, Intermap will deliver 3-D data with a calibrated high resolution laser sensor, called Light Detection and Ranging (LiDAR). The new datasets inform topography, elevation, precise imagery, geodesy, GeoNames, boundaries, and human geography. High quality foundation data facilitates safety of navigation, improved disaster planning, resource management, insurance modeling, security interests, land registry, and infrastructure planning. Intermap utilizes proprietary sensors and airborne platforms to collect its foundation data. Intermap will commence data collection in February 2018.

To support further expansion in its key geoint markets, Intermap is pleased to welcome Kyle LaMarche and Richard Šálek to the Company’s sales leadership team.

As a former Naval Officer, Kyle LaMarche brings to Intermap more than twenty years of business development and leadership experience, serving the advanced remote sensing market. Kyle will leverage the Company’s proprietary enriched datasets, multi-sensor collection capabilities, cloud native applications, artificial intelligence tools, patented data enrichment processes, and pattern-of-life models to support innovative solutions for our government clients.

Richard Šálek brings to Intermap more than twenty years of commercial software, hardware, professional services sales and business development experience. Richard will support innovative solutions for our commercial clients in the insurance, telecommunications, and transportation industries, who are rapidly migrating their data-rich workflows to the cloud, where they can better access dynamic, real-time 3-D analytics and efficient source data management.

“With a 30-year track record, Intermap is a proven innovator and world leader in 3-D data discovery, filtering, assessment, analytics, and management,” commented Patrick Blott, Intermap Chairman and CEO. “These task orders, and the addition of highly talented people to grow both our government and commercial businesses, reflect Intermap’s commitment to delivering dynamic and innovative, mission-essential content, analytics and answers, where, when, and how they are needed.”
